BRUCE'S STORY

I’ve always been drawn to new experiences, whether it’s traveling to new places, meeting people from different backgrounds, or diving into a business challenge. I love talking business with people, sharing ideas, and helping others turn their vision into something real.

For over 16 years, I’ve worked across industries as diverse as manufacturing, Hair dressing, and property. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that money isn’t everything. The real satisfaction comes from helping others take their first steps in business and watching them grow.

After making Brisbane my home 20 years ago, I took the leap into entrepreneurship at 26. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals through the foundational aspects of business, giving them the tools and confidence to succeed.

Beyond business, I’m a husband of 20 years and a proud father of two. I love the outdoors, NRL, and coaching basketball for 12 to 16-year-olds. Coaching isn’t just about the sport for me, it’s about mentoring the next generation of leaders and business owners.

If you’re looking to start or grow your business, I’d love to chat. Let’s build something great together.

IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY.

Running a business is often glorified, the freedom, the success, the independence. But what people don’t always see are the battles fought behind the scenes.

Over the years, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges, some expected, others completely blindsiding. Each one has tested me, shaped me, and, ultimately, made me a stronger entrepreneur.

Burnout: The Hidden Cost of Hard Work.

When you’re passionate about what you do, it’s easy to throw yourself into it completely. Long hours, high pressure, and the constant need to push forward can take a serious toll.

I’ve experienced burnout firsthand, feeling exhausted, mentally drained, and questioning why I was even doing this.

The hardest part. Learning to step back, set boundaries, and realize that success isn’t just about working harder but working smarter.

Dealing with Betrayal: When Trust is Broken.

One of the toughest lessons in business is realising that not everyone operates with integrity. I’ve had people I trusted steal from me, whether it was money, products or clients.

It’s a gut-wrenching experience, but I’ve learned that while you can’t control others, you can control how you respond. You put better systems in place, you become more selective with trust, and you keep moving forward.

Surviving When Businesses Go Broke on You.

There’s nothing more frustrating than doing everything right, delivering quality work, meeting deadlines and going above and beyond. Only to have a business you rely on suddenly collapse, leaving you unpaid and struggling. It’s happened to us.

It's reinforced the importance of diversifying income, managing risk, and never relying too heavily on a single source of revenue.
